Cafe au Lait Mini

The Queen of Dahlias’ little sister is Cafe au Lait Mini. The latter consistently sets blooms that are half the size of Cafe au Lait but with the same ivory blush tones as big sis. With her smaller size, mini is easier to work with and a more prolific bloomer than Cafe au Lait. The bloom is similar in size and color to KA’s Mocha Maya. Maya’s bloom has a more refined form while Cafe au Lait Mini emphasizes quantity. The variety has long, straight stems, little bug pressure, and is easy to grow.

All tubers offered for sale in 2024 were grown from my stock that tested negative for INSV, TSW and TSWV in fall 2022 and negative for DMV/DCMV, INSV, TSW and TSWV in spring 2023. In October 2023, one of the 16 Cafe au lait Mini plants I grew was tested as part of a random 10% sample. That plant was negative for DMV/DCMV, INSV, TSW and TSWV.
